É um peixe de clima tropical e demersal.[4]

Distribuição geográfica[editar | editar código-fonte]

É encontrado desde o Paquistão até ao Japão e Austrália, incluindo a zona de maré de água doce do rio Mekong.[4][6][7][8][9][10][11][12][13][14][15][16][17][18][19][20][21][22][23][24]

Observações[editar | editar código-fonte]

É inofensivo para os humanos[4] e é capaz de respirar ar.[25]
