Akemi Takada (高田明美 Takada Akemi?, born March 31, 1955) é uma artista japonesa de manga e design de personagens de anime, ela nasceu em Tokyo, Japan. Seus trabalhos de design de personagens é um dos estilos mais reconhecidos dos anos 1980,[1] quando trabalhou nas séries Creamy Mami e Kimagure Orange Road. Ela é conhecida por sua longa colaboração com o diretor Mamoru Oshii. Ela se formou na Tama Art University, depois ela trabalho na Tatsunoko Pro. Atualmente ela é uma artista de manga freelance com seu próprio estúdio, embora também seja membra do grupo criativo Headgear.[2] Ela é também dona do seu próprio design de joias de uma loja chamada Diakosmos.
Takada iniciou seu trabalho na Tatsunoko Productions, depois que visitou o escritório de produção como fã durante a transmissão de Gatchaman . [3]
