Resultados da trigésima sétima edição das 500 Milhas de Indianápolis realizadas no Indianapolis Motor Speedway à 30 de maio de 1953, valendo também como segunda etapa do mundial de Fórmula 1. O vencedor foi o norte-americano Bill Vukovich.[1][nota 1][2][nota 2]
Resumo
[editar | editar código-fonte]Quinze dias antes da prova duas mortes abalaram o referido evento: Chet Miller perdeu o controle do carro e atingiu o muro de concreto a cerca de 160 km/h e, naquele mesmo 15 de maio, Carl Scarborough morreu após sofrer um colapso por conta do forte calor.[3]
