O peixe-vaca-comum (Lactoria cornuta) é um peixe do gênero Lactoria. Possui espinhos em cima de cada olho e em cada lado do corpo antes da barbatana anal e não possui barbatana pélvica. É encontrado desde o Mar Vermelho[1] e África Oriental[2] até as Ilhas Marquesas, o arquipélago de Tuamotu, sul do Japão e ilha de Lord Howe.[3][4][5][6][7][8][9][10][11][12][13][14][15][16][17][18][19][20][21][22][23][24][25][26][27][28][29][30][31][32][33][34][35]
