Career

Luis Fernandes (footballer) is a Portuguese footballer who plays for Southern League Premier Division side Dunstable Town F.C., where he plays as a left back. He played in the Portuguese Football League as a teenager for Vilafranquense before dropping into non-league football in England due to work commitments.

Luis was born in Angola and emigrated to Portugal with his family at age of 5. He was raised in Portugal and began his football career at age of nine playing for local side Loures with Angolan International Djalma and his brother Geovany Campos.

At the age of 15, he moved to União Desportiva Vilafranquense and quickly made his Football league debut with only 17 for them playing in the Campeonato de Portugal. In 2010, he was encouraged to come to England, and ended up having a successful trial at Conference National South side, Staines Town.

His stay at Staines was brief, before moving on to, Southall FC, due to work commitments. He then had a brief spell at Hayes and later on at North Greenford. In the summer of 2015 he joined Southern Premier team, Chesham United.

In July 2016, Fernandes joined Southern Premier team, Dunstable Town F.C.
